If you notice any little tweaks in the “short name” of schools in TLC, that's me (Karin). When the TLC ecosystem was created for WSWHE BOCES, we thought we had to live with the short names that TLC created for us. We also discovered that folks use those short names to label courier envelopes, and sometimes, what is there is just not enough information. (As an example, “WSWHE” is not enough info to get a courier envelope to my desk, because “WSWHE” could refer to any number of of our programs across 5 counties.)
Karin discovered that these short names are editable, somewhat. (The system isn't kidding when it says “short name”, because there's only room for maybe 20 letters and spaces.) So, what Karin is doing is tweaking those short names to make it a little more obvious as to what those locations are.
In addition, our amazing colleagues in Stillwater created envelope labels, in case you want to print them. Our directory spreadsheet also tells you everything about buildings, locations, library staffers, 4-letter school codes, and more. Bookmark it so you can find it whenever you need it.
